Princeton Japanese School
14 Moore St # 1F, Princeton, NJ 08542
Princeton Japanese Language School was founded in 1980 and held classes in a rented building at Princeton University until 1996, when it moved to the current Biellenbaum Fisher Hall at Rider University. At the time of its establishment, it was primarily a school for the children of the families of Japanese researchers living in the area, but now it is a Japanese language school with 265 students attending.
The founding spirit of the school is to "open the doors to all who are willing to learn the Japanese language and culture."
As a supplementary school approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the supplementary school division provides Japanese language education to elementary school to high school students who are planning to return to their home countries in accordance with the curriculum guidelines in Japan.
