Experience Princeton Welcome 2 New Board Members

Princeton, NJ  — Experience Princeton proudly introduced new board members Rachel D. Grainger and William D. Hare at the organization's Annual Meeting on June 26 at the Nassau Inn.

Rachel D. Grainger joins Experience Princeton having worked across start-up, nonprofit and corporate environments. During her career, Grainger earned a reputation as a strategic thinker, an effective planner and a creative problem solver. Grainger is a collaborative and action-oriented leader who understands the power of unlocking team potential.

After beginning her career as a private practice lawyer representing technology companies, Grainger went on to serve as the in-house counsel and a member of the operating management committee for an early stage tech firm where she helped drive process improvement and other initiatives to achieve corporate goals. As an executive in the nonprofit sector, Grainger helped grow an early stage policy and business line. Most recently, Grainger worked with school districts, nonprofits and other community groups on issues including declining school enrollment, new family welcome and engagement, strategic alignment, goal-setting and planning.

Grainger lives in Princeton with her husband and two children.

William D. Hare joins Experience Princeton and is a lawyer with the firm of McNeely, Hare and War LLP where he practices patent law in the technology areas of biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceuticals. Hare has also managed an intellectual property portfolio for a major international pharmaceutical corporation, holding the title of Senior Counsel of Intellectual Property. Having worked as in-house counsel, Hare is attuned to the needs of large corporations and the importance of communication and cooperation between in-house and private counsel.

Hare also brings real world engineering experience to his practice of law. Prior to his career in law, he was an engineer with Mallinckrodt Medical. During this time he worked on radiology and magnetic resonance imaging systems, ultrasound devices, wireless remote controls and monitoring devices for infusion systems, ultrasonic nebulizers, and pulse oximetry monitors and sensors.

Hare lives with his family in Princeton. He has served as an elected member of the Princeton Public Schools Board of Education and is a member of the Experience Princeton Economic Development Team.

Two board members also step down: At the same meeting on June 26, the terms for founding members Lance Liverman and Omar Delgado ended. Experience Princeton gratefully thanks them both for their service.
