Project Overview / Objective
Experience Princeton (http://www.experienceprinceton.org) is issuing a Request for Proposal for the services of an experienced Graphic Design and Digital Marketing contractor. The successful candidate will work with Experience Princeton’s Executive Director, handling a multitude of creative processes that range from initial briefings to the final delivery of advertisements and media in print and digital formats.
Scope of Work + Deliverables
The responsibilities of the successful service provider will be organized into the following key areas:
Graphic Design, Branding, and Asset Development
1. Create, maintain, and deliver graphics for all marketing campaigns.
2. Design, reformat, and resize all advertisements (print and digital), collateral, and other branded materials in line with our brand guidelines.
3. Design and develop assets for print or digital campaigns, along with drafting initial concepts.
4. Manage and update a creative file of raw and finished files for future use.
Content Creation and Management
5. Compose and edit videos for our website and social media platforms.
6. Capture and film on-site happenings and events as necessary for graphic projects.
7. Conduct typesetting and layout tasks for print and digital assets such as presentations, directories/menus, newsletters, and email blasts.
Digital and Social Media Management
8. Administer a social media calendar and schedule regular weekly posts.
9. Upload and submit appropriately sized photos and ads to our website, digital media platforms, and advertising portals.
10. Maintain photo galleries and checklists for all Experience Princeton events, promotions and news.
Strategic Communication and Collaboration
11. Maintain an updated editorial calendar of ad deadlines and campaigns as per the annual marketing plan.
12. Collect relevant data and analytics for planning and evaluating campaign effectiveness.
13. Liaise with supporting vendors to address graphic needs and provide creative direction.
14. Assist Marketing & Events Team and the Executive Director with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Have a proven record of collaborating within a team to develop and actualize visions.
• Exhibit proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
• Be capable of working on both Mac and PC.
• A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.
• At least 3 years' experience in retail, hospitality, or a similar field is preferred.
• Present a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
Proposal Submission
Interested parties should submit a proposal outlining their qualifications, relevant experience, and approach to the project. The proposal should include a detailed scope of work, timeline, cost estimate, examples of comparable past projects with links we can visit, and background on the firm (in case of a company) or individual(s) who will be involved in providing Graphic Design and Digital Marketing services if selected. Proposals should be submitted to isaac@princetonbusiness.org. Please include “Experience Princeton Graphic Design and Digital Marketing” in the subject line when sending your email. The deadline for submissions is no later than Friday, June 23, 2023, at 5:00pm.
Background on Experience Princeton
Experience Princeton is a nonprofit organization established in 2022 as the Princeton Business Partnership, Inc., a Special Improvement District (SID) dedicated to strengthening and promoting all of Princeton, New Jersey, through placemaking, marketing and economic development. Experience Princeton serves a wide and varied geographic area that includes large shopping centers and small boutiques, hotels and conference centers, unique residential neighborhoods, historic sites and cultural landmarks, major roadways, quiet backstreets and, of course, one of the world’s most prestigious and beautiful universities.
The Special Improvement District encompasses over 270 properties and 850 businesses in twelve “sub-areas” throughout Princeton. These include Nassau and Palmer Square that make up the heart of the Central Business District. Other areas include Dinky, Harrison St and Princeton Shopping Center, Jasna Polana, Jugtown, North, Poor Farm Road, and Witherspoon St. Each sub-area has a distinctive collection of places and businesses that contribute to Princeton’s unique community character.
